Zacky Vengeance, born in California, December 11, 1981, real name Zachary Baker, is the rhythm guitarist for the band Avenged Sevenfold [although he was the lead guitarist on the band's first album].
Vengeance has played guitar since he was thirteen years old, and is self-taught. At one time played in a punk band called MPA. He and M. Shadows [lead vocalist] formed Avenged Sevenfold when they were in high school.
Zacky says that there are "so many bands" that influence him. "I still love the heavy bands. I love... Danny Elfman and Elvis Costello. It's... all over the place - I think that's the best way to be."
Zacky released a clothing line called "Zacky V. Presents..." on December 19, 2005. The current design features the popular "Vengeance University" logo, which Zacky designed himself. The line currently features t-shirts and belt buckles, featuring his trademark "Est. 6661" tagline on it.
Zacky has been sponsored by Schecter Guitar Research since 2004, and has custom S-1 models out.
